Matthew Liptak was born and raised in Ohio, went to college in upstate New York, and now resides in Washington DC. 

In 2011, Liptak received his BFA (Highest Honors) in Fine Art Photographic Illustration with a minor in Writing from The Rochester Institute of Technology in Rochester, New York. 

He currently works as a Photographer, Photo Editor and Art Director for LivingSocial.
