About
Matt Liptak was born and raised in Ohio, went to college in upstate New York, and now resides in Washington DC.
In 2011, Liptak received his BFA (Highest Honors) in Fine Art Photographic Illustration with a minor in Writing from The Rochester Institute of Technology in Rochester, New York.
He currently works full-time as the In-house Creative Director on the Truth Initiative's marketing and communication team.
His decade of creative leadership has won multiple ANA, Effie, Reggie, and Ogilvy awards.
At his core, Liptak is an artist — someone who seeks out opportunities where the passion for making art intersects with collaboration . Four years ago, the City of Alexandria recognized that drive by awarding him a studio at the Torpedo Factory Art Center, where he continues to create mixed media work.
Liptak also works semi-professionally as a Scenic Designer for theatrical productions across the DMV, with professional credits at GALA Hispanic Theatre in DC and Workhouse Arts Center in Virginia. His scenic designs within Community Theatre productions have earned recognition from theatre arts organizations, including the Washington Area Theatre Community Honors, the Ruby Griffith Awards, and the Little Theatre of Alexandria Awards.
